Community & Partnership

देतो तो देव

A community built this Mandal

A principle Annasaheb P. K. Patil often voiced, according to the Mandal's own records: the one who gives is God.

A tradition of giving

The Mandal's history records that farming families across the region have contributed to its work — at weddings, religious ceremonies and other occasions, according to what each family could afford — out of their trust in the founder, Annasaheb P. K. Patil, and in the cause of education.

It says the tradition has continued since the founder's passing. That shared ownership is part of why the campus at Shahada exists.

Partner with the Mandal

The Mandal is a charitable trust serving society through education, and has worked since 1969 toward the upliftment and emancipation of the communities it serves. Most of its students come from rural areas and financially weaker sections of society, and the Mandal relies on the support of donors and patrons.

Companies, organisations, banks and institutions can support projects of the Mandal, including through their Corporate Social Responsibility funds under Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013. The Mandal describes several projects that could not be completed for want of funds.

Health and social service

Alongside education, the Mandal's community work includes a yearly health-check camp held on the founder's birth anniversary, 9 October, and an ambulance bought to serve patients. According to the Mandal's records, both are organised through the Shree P.K. Anna Patil Foundation.
